Would you like to plant a garden but dont have the space in your yard or just dont have a yard A new community garden in Bismarck will give you a chance to plant your own fruits and vegetables The Missouri Valley Resource Council and Bismarck Parks and Recreation are teaming up to start a community garden It will be located west of the Bismarck Municipal Ballpark The idea is you pay twenty-five dollars a year for a ten foot by ten foot space You then have all summer to grow the kinds of food you want Once you pick all of your food you then clean up your space and get twenty dollars of your deposit back Tracy Wanek Missouri Valley Resource Council In urban areas it works very well for people who are in apartments or have small yards or might have shady yards if they have a large one Plus you get to interact with other gardeners and have that community essence The group is hoping to have the garden ready for this summer If you would like to rent a space in the garden you can call the Missouri Valley Resource Council at 224-8587
